Pulling a Tooth

Sometimes teeth need to be removed. There are a variety of reasons for this including advanced decay or fractures. Whatever the reason, we take all possible steps to ensure that the experience is as painless and comfortable for you as possible.

Teeth are not attached to the bone directly as you may think. Instead there are thousands of small ligaments that attach the tooth to the bone. Removing the tooth involves breaking the ligament connections and then removing the tooth. If the tooth can be removed without cutting the tooth, then we consider this a simple extraction. If the tooth needs to be sectioned and removed in pieces we consider this a surgical extraction. If the tooth does need to be surgically removed, rest assured that you will not feel any of the sectioning.
